came out of the 1950s era . . . I was
there. i remember the shapes as well as that balance that is essential in longboard shaping. in the
last couple of years, I've decided to maintain the hand shaping techniques rather than use computer shaping or license to offshore or molded interests. I prefer to think of surfboard shaping as more
of an art form than a production industry business that has lost that 60s feel. Each surfboard is
shaped and glassed as if it was a custom order. And as far as I am concerned, they are all custom surfboards.
